A thought provoking game with strong visuals.
People come here for more Ronin lore and forget that they really aren't the same person nor are they written with the same themes in mind, not everyone will like Gluttony Gods because of the themes it presents but people should really stop comparing it to Killer Chat, they are completely different in tone.
People this is the original Ronin that somewhat shaped the au Ronin seen in killer chat, they are not the exact same person.
10/10 Would continue to be a Ther enjoyer, such a pretty character design
I love the restyled-version of Ronin in Killer Chat better, but this version.... not bad. Tho not as good as the Killer Chat version.
(His hair and hat DEFIANTLY improved tho. But his clothes are pretty cool.
Although I like the Killer Chat version better, but I may be biased on that.)
The writing and art isn't bad in general, but I can absolutely see how it is improved in Killer Chat. A lot.
Everyone needs a friend like Ronin. Or boyfriend. ^_^

So when you start the game it says that the game depicts scenes of rape and whatnot, followed by "Confirm" and "Cancel".
....soooooooo..... What the heck does that mean?
Do you confirm that you want to see the scenes? or not see the scenes?
I 'cancel' to cancel the scenes? Or just ignore the warning? o_O
It's really strange to make choices for two people, instead of focusing on just one.
After the admiting the parent thing choice, you get the same choice as you got in the beginning.... and it keeps sending you into an eternity-loop. Wtf?
The CG I found was nice tho. ^_^
Ronin looked better in that by a lot too.
I like Ronin's look at the prom.
I think the red goes really well with his black outfit. ^_^
The second CG is not as good as the first, but it's still good.
Awwww-- It's such a sweet story. ❤️
And the Crown ending is really nice. ^_^

Killer Chat Ronin and Gluttony Gods Ronin aren't the same exact characters ^^ GG takes part in around the 90's while KC is modern day so his style is different. Ronin is not supposed to look appealing in this game, his looks aren't the main point since it isn't a romance visual novel like Killer Chat. You're comparing two different genres of games with two different stories and writing as if they were one and the same just because one character is similar, this Ronin is the Original Ronin, the Canon Ronin if you will.
For the "improvement of art and writing"; the artists in Killer Chat and Gluttony Gods are different and again the themes of the two games are different, the only thing that connects the art and writing are Rose, (the writer) Munstxr (artist of some Cgs) (comparing two games with completely different writing styles and artists like they are the same makes you look like you're nitpicking, or are too young to play Gluttony Gods. One thing to mention off key is that the artist for glut did the entire UI of KC, the game you believe as superior. Funny how that works.

It literally says "Would you like to skip these scenes?" and then shows you "Confirm" and Cancel, "Confirm" is lit up as the preferred option to people who are sensitive for these topics and would like to avoid seeing them... did you even read the pop up?
The "Cut their eyes out" route is buggy and broken with the new update, it's actively being fixed and worked on to get the bugs fixed, thus the bug report form that is linked in the itch.io page.
The option is there indicating that the run away route will be a path to choose in the future, also when you click on it there's a line "the route is not available yet" the word "yet" would imply that it would be available in the future, no?
As most of Rose's games are coming out on steam it's not very unlikely for Gluttony Gods to join them too, but at the end of the day it is up to Rose and her ability to publish Gluttony Gods on steam.
I figured he was just younger there. lol
I mean... he dresses a bit like I did as a teen.
(Except I wore the kind of satanic make-up that made my friend drag me to the bathroom and wash my face before she'd be seen with me in public. lol)
His looks isn't bad at all. ^_^
His artwork is just not quite as good as in Killer Chat, and his style a bit less refined.
And shush. Horror (or whatever) IS romance...if you squint. xD
Plus, the story seemed pretty romantic to me.
But I admit that I only ever got the good ends.
For some reason I can't seem to find any bad ends in the game. o_O
...kinda expect the girl to die at some point, but if she does, I don't know how or why.

I know I suck at wording myself right, and tend to nitpick on things, but I truly love these games. ^_^
If by "the girl" you mean Ther then they are not a girl, it may not be really obvious, but they are referred to as "they" most of the time, both in Glut and Killer Chat.
Their story is romantic BUT it is not the main point of their story to be romance, at least not in the same way as in Killer Chat so comparing the two games plot and topic ways is not necessary.
Also, you said that you can see how Rose's writing got better in Killer Chat, I forgot to reply to that; Killer Chat was written in a month for October Jam while Gluttony Gods is a story that is with Rose for way longer, so I wouldn't speak of improvement when one story is still being heavily progressed and on a complete different topic and vibe than the other.
Though, I'd like to hear what in your opinion is an improvement in the writing, because I'd say that even as someone who started with Killer Chat, I like the writing in Gluttony Gods better.

Their dynamic rly reminded me of Saraberry Heather animatic where Heather was done with all pressure and finally did homicide with JD.

I assume this was happened after Killerchat? like he came back to the Angelwood after the discord was created and already aged to 20 something now. The way the game immediately get back to the beginning at the moment we reached to the end again, like a loop, made me think that everything actually never happened. It was all Ronin's imagination that Ther finally accept themselves and fucked the town up with him. He just imagined all of that the moment he saw Ther's face at the Angelwood.

I feel like this game changed my DNA structure, somehow. This was too good, I was not expecting it! The voice acting is insane too.
Ronin must love "Hell's Comin' with Me" by Poor Man's Poison. Anything by Poor Man's Poison, really. I'm pleased with the unanimously antagonistic nature of this character. He has a reason to do what he does so he's not unexplainable evil, yet that reason doesn't glorify or heroize the villain because normal people would not resolve problems the way Ronin would. Both internal and external factors have made this character vivid.
Ther hasn't been a very realistic character to me, I feel like Ther is a bunch of concepts that lacks pieces of linkages to complete the logic. Maybe that's intended and I'm crazy for trying to understand a mentally unstable fictional character.
Incredibly well written, impactful, and compelling. Ther and Ronin are characters that stand for so much, and are only made deeper by how their personalities shine through in the dialogue and subtext. The visuals are striking- from backgrounds and imagery, to the way certain things are obscured, or shown so viscerally, every single piece of Gluttony Gods has impact and a story to tell. Oh, to be rotten.

Okay, so I'm taking the two endings as... in one, they've said things to each other that were coded as "bad" (though maybe that's oversimplifying) so they ended up accumulating emotional wounds and destroying each other while the town remains untouched. In the other route, they say "good/honest" things to each other, and are therefore stronger and able to punish the town for what it did to them. That might be literal, as in they murdered the whole town of lame r**ists, transphobes and bystanders, or it could be a metaphorical way of showing that they internalized that the abuse/harassment was not their fault. Or maybe I'm completely wrong, no idea :D this feels like an "up to interpretation" type story.

Want to ask how to escape from the town of the ending ah, I in any case is circling in time and space, and then repeatedly propose and then to the opening, do not know how to another ending, I looked at the cg picture, I have not seen the side of the crying angel cg, may not hit there, I have played more than 10 times, exhaustive method can not be useful, Can you give me a hand if you've played before? litch love the symbolism. i didnt get it at first but it took me a couple of plays until i pieced it all together and this was truly written so well! if you have to play a game more than once to get the symbolism then its super duper good :)

They arent the same person, i hink that ronin dated angel because he saw Ther in her,its clear he hasnt really moved on from Ther, and maybe dating Angel was kinda his way of trying to cope with the fact that Ther isnt here anymore
