HOW DO I DOWNLOAD?
After purchasing, you'll be able to download the DLC. It will come in an .rpa file.
1. In order to run the DLC, you'll need the free DLC-Compatible Original Edition (Version 1.4) of Killer Chat! downloadable here:
2. After downloading the DLC-Compatible Original Edition (Version 1.4), you will have to manually move the Overkill DLC file into the Original Edition's game files.
⚠️ For Windows:
1. Download and unzip the Overkill DLC file.
2. Move the Overkill DLC file (.rpa) into Killer Chat! Original Edition's "game" folder. You'll know it's in the right folder if you see the "archive.rpa" file in it.

1. Download and unzip the Overkill DLC file.
2. Move the Overkill DLC file (.rpa) into Killer Chat! Original Edition's "game" folder. You'll know it's in the right folder if you see the "archive.rpa" file in it. Click on the drop-down to see the visual guide below:

STEP 1: Right click on Killer Chat! Original Edition and select "Show Package Contents"
STEP 2: Open the "Contents" folder.
STEP 3: Open the "Resources" folder.
STEP 5: Open the "game" folder.
I DON'T WANT TO MANUALLY DOWNLOAD THE DLC, CAN I GET IT PRE-INSTALLED?
Yeah! You can buy the Overkill DLC on Steam which lets you play it right away without manually moving files.
HOW DO I PLAY?
You'll be able to play the game by selecting "Overkill" on the Main Menu. You'll be prompted to load a save. You must select one to continue to Overkill DLC. Enjoy!

aw man, okay, I could be missing something but like. okay, I redownloaded the original game on my Mac, downloaded the dlc after paying, and then followed the instructions shown to put the dlc in the game. I started the game up, and the avatar stuff loaded just fine. I got all the way to the end of the game, and nothing quite changed or was added other than that. Do I need to redo anything, was it my choices? Do I just need to exit the game, and load up the file I just finished to get it to load up right? I struggled to get the dlc in where I needed for a while, then got towards the end all in like..idk 2 or something 3 hours? IM DESPARATEE, RONIINNNN. I NEED TO GET ALL THE EXTRA STUFF WAHHHH
SCRATCH THAT IM A PAIN IN MY OWN ASSS UGH PLS BRUH, I DIDN'T DOUBLE CHECK THE LAST INSTRUCTIONS. I forgot, I had to play the game because I started with no saves, then go back to actually activate the full dlc since I started with nothing. pls pls no one forget if they do that XD I'm crying, I'm so stupid

you need to download the dlc compatible killer chat! - 1.4.
still reeling over all the content in this siiiigh, wasn't expecting to fall head over heels for all of these characters and 10x harder at that. loved every second of it! saw a review on steam that said ronin's romance was rather lackluster and i can't help but disagree, loved every second of his romantic moments! if i had to have a favorite moment, most definitely was angel's first one. if emily is still her va, they KILLED it <3 felt like it expanded on her personality a little bit more! this was so good it lowk kicked my ass back into writing for it again, thank you for your hard work! i'll stop glazing now

will this dlc be compatible with the expanded version when it releases? or are the original version and expanded version functionally different games - and loading a savefile on the expanded version would not open overkill dlc content?
i'm waiting for heatwaves dlc to come out and hoping that i could experience both dlcs in tandem!
hello! it will not be compatible with expanded edition as unfortunately expanded runs on different internal systems compared to the original edition + overkill. i haven’t exactly tested save file compatibility between expanded (demo, that is) and overkill, you could try if you really wanted to, but i doubt it will work sadly </3
though, since overkill is extra moments accessed via a bonus screen, and heatwaves dlc is a whole new storyline in expanded edition, you wouldn’t really be missing on much at all in terms of experiencing both at the same time! :) i’d recommend making the same character in orig. and expd. for maximum immersion if you’d like.
I love the game!! The story is written thoughtfully, the general aesthetic is wonderful, and the voice acting was impeccable. I felt totally immersed. I can't wait for it to come out on Steam as well!

Am contemplating buying the DLC via Steam but would like to ask a question on play order if that's okay :')
I don't replay games normally so I'm planning to get the Expanded Edition when it's released on Steam, which I imagine would be the same content as the free Original Edition but packed with a lot more contents. That said, I don't think the Overkill DLC contents would be included so I'm planning to grab the Original Edition DLC too and skip the OG Edition's playthrough to do a play order like the following:
1) Expanded Edition (+ its DLC)
2) Original Edition's DLC, accessed via the DLC Screen of the base game
Would I still get the full experience this way or perhaps is there another recommended way to enjoy the games? 💦

This DLC looks absolutely packed — extra stories, bonus calls, outfits, achievements, and even a couple of secrets? You can really feel how much care went into expanding the Killer Chat! world. Super excited to dive in!

aa omg im sorry i tried again n it worked, its bc i didnt know u were supposed to click overkill n load a save T_T had to replay the org but this dlc was so good tysm
omgg how did u do it cause i tried multiple times and im so confused ive never done this and im llike gonna be dumb for asking this(i also use windows but im confused).
basically u have to redownload and play through killer chat again (if u deleted it), (and download the dlc aswell) , make sure to unzip both folders or it wont work, once u unzip make sure to minimize and split screen the folders, (both the original killer chat and the new dlc) once unzipped, then hold left click to bring it into the 'game' folder , once u did all that i think you have to re complete the original so when you click overkill on the loading screen and it brings u to saves click on auto saves and click on the very last one n that should work
im so dumb i dont see any like overkilldlc rpa i did download them both but im too dumb to understand all of this ;-; any like simpler way if not its ok ill try again.

hello! you will have to download the new killer chat! build ( the one that says “dlc compatible” ) in order to load the overkill dlc. the 1.3.2 version will not work for it!
